This does not negate continous spell card.. Someone use the world tree effect to destroy my monster and this thing cant be activated.. Does spell effects dont include continuos spell?
I don't know why, but the Ruling for Destruction Jammer is that it cannot be chained to "Ignition-like" type of effect from a Continuous Spell or Continuous Trap card.
The fact it doesn't say it can be might be relevant... Even if this was a Normal Trap, if it was worded this way, you wouldn't be able to chain it to a S/T effect anyway.
'Negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect...' Activation is the key word here. Destruction Jammer would have to be used in response to your opponent first playing the spell on the field. World Tree doesn't destroy a monster when it is first played, so Destruction Jammer wouldn't work on it anyway...
Ultimate Providence uses "and if you do", I think that's the reason. Makes it sounds optional, and Destruction Jammer can't respond since optional means it doesn't always destroy.
