F.G.T doesnt work against Kidmodo dragon when he summons his big dragon.

I think it misses the timing because the special summon happens during the resolution of kidmono dragon's effect.

You cannot use FGT when the summon is chain link 2 or higher (red eyes spirit chained to anything e.g.) or during the damage step (if you attack over kidmodo)

Normal trap cards cannot be activated in response to special summons that occur during the damage step

Was Kidmodo Dragon attacked and destroyed by battle? If so, the effect of Kidmodo Dragon will have activated in the Damage Step.
Since Floodgate Trap Hole is a Normal Trap card, you will not be able to activate it during the Damage Step.

FGT can only activate in response to an inherent summon (normal summons, summons like Goka, the Pyre of Malice or Fiend Megacyber) or summons from effects that activate on chain link 1 (like Polymerization or Kaibaman). It can not respond to a summon that occurs at chain link 2.
Example:
Player 1: Plays Tribute to the Doomed, discards Kidmodo Dragon to destroy Legion, The Fiend Jester on player 2's field.
Player 2: Activates Fiend Jester at chain link 1 to search a monster.
Player 1: Chains Kidmodo Dragon at chain link 2
Chain resolves backwards.
Player 1 summons Blue Eyes with Kidmodo (chain link 2)
Player 2 adds Dark Magician (chain link 1)
Player 2 cannot activate Floodgate because the summon isn't the last thing to resolve.
That is my best guess of what happened, unless the card is genuinely bugged. Hope this was a relevant answer.
