It would be a good option for duel rooms too, but i think people would complain if the casual duels did not use a banlist.

Ranked PvP should be balanced, but with friends or in casual duels I still wanna be able to fuck around, so yeah.

Not the right spot for this but absolutely. In PvE you should be able to play whatever the hell you want, they should just provide a list of limited cards and if you try to go into PvP with a deck with too many limited or semi-limited cards, it should just say something like "Your deck is ineligible for Ranked Matches". That way, we can also even ban cards if necessary but still be able to play them.
