If some decks become overused for months, even whales who paid for 3 copies of everything would ask for banlist, because they are bored playing against the same deck for months. But little guppy will always make en excuse saying "my deck is not broken", "there are many cards to counter", blablabla, just to hide the fact that "I don't want my deck to get nerfed because I don't have gems/money to build a new deck"
For players who use simple straightforward beat stick decks like blue eyes Shirainui is easier to play against than Dark Magician, Elementsaber or Quintet decks.
Against Shirainui you can get away without using effects to deal with backrow or annoying monsters.
Against Dark Magician dealing with back rows is mandatory.
Against Molehu and stalling spellcasters for Quintet, beatdown is not useful.
Actually the situation is:
Shirainui+Grass > Other meta > nearly meta(six samurai, black wing, etc.) >>> most non meta
Shirainui+Grass ≈ unusual non meta(usually original non meta decks have more than 20 cards)
It is mostly the pay-to-win player with their "optimized" deck who are having the hardest time against Grass.
Ironically, the card Grass is not pay-to-win, adding 🔥 to injury.
What kind of deck is exactly P2P? It was ancient gear, assault mode, neos and such that using 3 copies of ex deck. I havent seen them in legend or KoG for a long time, which mean literally all Top tier decks are F2P to begin with.
You just want to abuse grass because u are noob without it. F2P decks already top tier to begin with
I've been playing this game for 2 years without spending money and I am fully aware of what Konami always do against overused deck. So I prefer building a deck that can still perform well without resetting the box, like Flower Cardian and Superheavy Samurai. But I love Shaddoll so much that if Konami release them I might immediately create new account
Shiranui is fine to begin with. Spiritmaster, spectral sword and such normally had a hard time sending themselves to GY. If they want to limit something, it should be grass
Either Spiritmaster or Spectralsword should be semi-limited. I have my own Shiranui deck and I must say it is very easy to send stuffs into GY. I play 20-card version most of the time so I don't need Grass, but there are so much option like Raigeki Break, Hallowed Life Barrier, Rainbow Life, Needlebug Nest, or by banishing Squire you can draw 1 and discard 1 to fill the GY
Collecting gems are easy even for F2P as long as you don't become too greedy. Don't rant just because you cant save your own gems. You are just making an excuse for yourself, which is worsening since you jealous of P2P that want to spent dime to get what they want.
Cards that send a card from hand to graveyard cant be that OP for Shiranui. In general, it reduces your hand by certain amounts, and there is no guarantee you will draw a better card on the next turn. By sending spirit master to graveyard directly from hand, YOU LOSE ONE MONSTER TO BE SUMMONED since it came from hand. No need to limit spirit master or spectralsword.
Its not like every starting hand let you draw squire. Spirit master is very conditional to begin with. Of course you would normal summon squire if you had it in your hand... I cant believe you even started debating this..
Personally I think Spectralsword deserves more to get hit than Spiritmaster, because synchro from GY is more potent than just destroying a card. But many Shiranui players usually play only 1 or 2 Spectralsword in their deck, so it is still possible for Spiritmaster to get hit instead.
Spectralsword need to standby at least one turn to be used for synchro summon. This limitation actually make your OP prepared for the synchro itself. So nah, unless you can use its eff immediately, this card is fine. And why would anyone limit spiritmaster, anyway? It make more sense to limit gold sarc or grass. Spiritmaster is kinda hard to utilize by itself.
