You don't have to buy Generation Next for 3 times as long as UR dream ticket exist. Just once for some potentially useful cards in the box such as Fusion Recycling Plant, King of the Swamp, Samurai Skull, Bacon Saver.
Plenty of people have different preferences, do you remember that some guys asked for Blair? It's just a matter of taste and that's why some guys want to play as many floodgates as possible.
I have a feeling that this card will be hit by next banlist. Why? Top staple. Most decks run 1 or even 3 of them. But most importantly, because it kills XYZ mechanics. Once your opponent tries to summon a second monster and gets flooded the field is blocked.
Of course. I spent too much of my life and my money on collecting several copies of these staples. I will never accept they Ban/limit my hard earned cards.
"We are yet to see some hit to floodgate or canadia"
Don't worry. Once ALL players end up spending ALL their gems on those staples Konami will have no more reason to not sell backrow removal that are not UR/SR.
A few months after backrow removal are omnipresent and that players stopped using them will Konami ban said backrow.
Gems must be spent on old boxes during 50% off deals.
Besides, Old boxes contain MUCH MORE generic not archetype dependent cards than new boxes. In new boxes, except for a few UR/SR per box most other cards don't work outside their own archetype.
Totaly agree with above posts. Tickets should be wisely used on old box staples that usually contain 90% trash cards. Also, NEVER EVER let gem discount period to get away when you despirately need an old staple card. They come rarely and for about 5000 you can open complete a 200 pack main box, and if you are lucky much much less.
Not 90% trash cards because those old boxes contain more generic cards that are usable in any deck + a few staples.
On the contrary, new boxes contain a few staples. Everything else can't be used if you don't play the same deck. Like the recent ones mainly contained supports for Bunjin, Fishes, etc.
How do you expect a BE or SHS deck to make use of that?
Old boxes have more splashable cards
