Using Union Attack does not deal battle damage to your opponent. You should use Gravekeeper's Vassal as it is treated as effect damage instead.
Next time, please read the cards carefully.

Because when you use union attack, the monster you target cannot deal battle damage.
This is the reason why is used on the vassal who deals effect damage instead.
