Why can't i summon my Gearfried the Swordmaster from the banished zone? effect activates but it stays banished

Gearfried the Swordmaster's effect prohibits itself from being able to be special summoned in any way, except using Release Restraint. When you activate Dimension Gate's effect to special summon the banished Gearfried the Swordmaster, it's own effect prevents it from being special summon back to the field.
