Finishing a duel with a "Draw"?

I was chilling wit my cousin playing Duel Links in the evening, he's fighting Vagabond and was trying to deck him out but right before he could the duel ended early and resulted in a Draw. Is there like a special condition or some sort of turtling prevention in the game we're missing?

It's possible that he was playing right up until the server shut down for maintenance, maybe? I don't know why that would affect the Vagabond fight, though, as I think the state of battles vs NPCs is saved locally to the device for the next login.

This happened to me - Apparently, there's a turn limit of fifty. I got there, too - He was using a Water deck, and I swear to you that if he hadn't used pot of dichotomy to fill his deck from the Graveyard, I would've gotten through that last turn and a half he had left.
