Mystical sheep for superalloy beast raptinus

I made a Gemini deck, And figured I could use mystical sheep as one of the geminis I need to dude. It doesn't seem to be working though. Is there a reason mystical sheep can't be used as a replacement Gemini in this fusion?

Well fusion substitute cannot replace a fusion monster that require spesific type of card e.g. gemini/ritual/fusion card as they only replace card that has names and not card types. I hope this help to answer your problem.
