why this trap "Blast held by a tribute" card has no effect on masked beast de gardius card? it's a tribute monster right??? i don't understand why

Right, is a tribute summon, but is a Spezialsummon. Blast held by a tribute works only with normal summons. (Works great on "The Winged Dragon of Ra")

Blast held by a tribute is used to destroy Tribute Summoned monsters, not Special Summoned monsters. Masked Beast Des Gardius is only Special Summoned; thus, that trap card won't work.

Its summon effect is a special summon, not a tribute summon. While it is technically possible to tribute summon it, Marik uses the special summon >90% of the times.

Because Des Gardius is not tribute summoned. Des Guardius effect dictates that he is SPECIAL SUMMONED by tributing 2 monsters, so it's a Special Summon not a Tribute Summon. Blast Held by Tribute only nukes Tribute Summoned monsters

Because, masked beast de gardius is card that can be only special summon by "tributing" either grand tiki elder or Melchid the four face beast + 1 monster. If you pay attention to the card description, it said can't be normal summon/set summon, and can't be special summon "except"..
I use this card on Casual Duel today, kinda pain the butt to summon this
