I seem to have the same issue. Sometimes it triggers and other times it does not. It would always be consistent. Might be bugged

I have the same issue as well. I placed my trap card 2 turns before I summoned my Spellcaster monster, then when I attacked, Magician's Circle didn't trigger

Hi there, are you trying to use it immediately after you play it? So for instance, you place your "magician's circle", switch to battle phase, and then attack? If that is the case, trap cards can't typically be used during your turn on the turn you placed it on the field.
