I have come to the conclusion that the game sets you on losing streaks if you are not a Pay Player in order to try to push you to spend time money and eventually let's you go back to normal.
I made it to 1 win away from KOG before the last season ended a couple days ago.
Everytime Id get the "Win this match to advance"... Id dead draw. Then when I try to recuperate, I start getting OTKd until I have about 4-5 straight losses and suddenly cards seem to deal normally again and I climb back up.

It has to be rigged and its complete @@@. I was running my luna deck after like 6-7 games in a row of bricking with my graydle deck, I'm almost in legends and everytime, the player just magically has the opening hand to annihilate me even with off-meta decks. But i pulled out my big boss for luna (cannot be targeted) and what does he do? Targets me with his barrel dragon and blows me up. The description in his card says "target one monster", meanwhile mine says "cannot be targeted.

Far from random.

I personally have observed that using different characters give different no. Of specific of type cards in hand or during draw.for eg if you're using Yami Yugi you'll probably get more magic cards,if use you Akiza or Yusei you get more snychro monster. It's just an observation me and my friend have made I don't know if there's a thing like those

I disagree. The pvp aspect of the game is @@@. Over 80 percent of the time i goe no monsters or no spell trap cards for up to round 12 to 14. This is in a deck with 18 monsters of which only 4 are 5 star or above and 6 spell and 6 trap cards. Three quarter of the pvp battles are bots. Always the same pattern. They start with every card needed to open big. Every time. And you get what i listed above. And if you get past it to be able to win it surrenders before you can. Thats at least 75 percent of the PVP duels. And add the fact these bots use cards you cannot get. Or can get with a lot of cash only. I think this game is trash and so is Konami.

I feel like this game sometimes completely defeats the whole ideology of the famous yugioh catchphrase “believe in the heart of your cards”. Even the loaner decks you can do screw you over when they’re suppose to be designed for you to win and learn how to play. I get it’s a card game and it is luck based at time but it’s ridiculous how biased it can be at times. The game should at least have an algorithm to let you to attempt to get back in the game if you have the cards in your deck to do it. For example I have 18/25 monsters I can normal summon without tributing. My opponent will synchro/special/fusion summon a monster with enough attack to wipe me out with one direct hit and has effects to avoid traps/spells. I won’t draw one monster to help defend myself. I’m defeated by the second turn. Situations like this take the fun out of the game

9/10 someone who's using ancient gear deck against me well have ancient gear wyvern in their starting hand even though u can only have 3 copies of that card out of 20, you do the maths. Totally rigged sometimes to bridge the skill gap between amateurs and pros.

I mean seeing as how my opponent can set THREE monsters on one turn with one of them being a level 11 all in one turn and my hand is all spells and traps--it's rigged. Seriously, what are the odds you'd get the right combination of cards to instantly summon high level monsters consistently?
anoymous
It's most certainly rigged... There's no way game after game I end up starting with NO monsters in my hand. Only all spells and traps. Whenwhile my opponent starts off with cards to instantly summon level eight and higher monsters.
The part I don't understand is why the game would be designed this way to begin with? To force people to buy better cards?

I swear to god, when I only have 2 Normal
Monsters in my deck, duel Links makes it it’s mission to ensure I have at least one of them at the start of each duel, every single time!!
