WoD is rarely being used in high ranks. It is popular because many people use it. That doent mean good players use it. I mean, dm is really popular. However, it is far away from the tier lists. Just people keep using them.

WoD is the last thing you will ever see in gold to KoG, as WoD activation time is kinda hard to achieve there. Counter trap cards or even a combo disruption trap such as canadia serve a better purpose.

I Kogged with 2 WOD, in a six Sams deck Shien can negate those backrow removal. Also if they hit it instead of dual weild thats fine for me. It's not a bad card although not that good either. If your deck allows you to protect it until battle phase then you're good. Also it somehow compensate for the main weakness of 6sams witch is a boss monster with only 2500K Atk power.
