F2p has difficult time to keep up with current meta, if they only rely on non-stop gems farm to build deck and don't spend money sure they'll quit this game immediately

For example Harpies core card basically in the same MINI box.
The thing with F2P in this game is you have to learn to stick with your deck rather than keep buying every deck the moment it was released. Yugioh isn't exactly new player friendly in the first place, not just cards. aster rule, ignition, chain blocking, miss timing and such aren't something you always find in card game.
