konami thought: too much otk, lets halve burn damage.
But they never halved battle damage.

Reason is: most effect damage cards were cheaper than battle damage cards.

Nice way to hide your true motive konami.

It's even more stupid to halve effect damage for the main reason that most effect damage decks were more F2P compared to meta battle damage.

Some of the halving is justified. If we got OG scattershot, then we would be trading the battle phase to wipe field and burn for 1500 or even 2000.

Because of RNG no one will ever have a hand with 3 Mask Change that can FTK.
