The 5 extra deck limit prevents Synchros to be OP. IMO most of them can be added to the game (except Crystal Wing and some level 7). For XYZ, it's another problem. But Methydraco Chemicritter would be awesome !

We will get them eventually. The game originally came out 2 years ago, so it seems like the folks making it in Japan might be going on a 2 year system for generation updates. Makes sense. Gives them events to play with, new gens wouldnt be rushed (which is good because rushing games often leads to low quality content), and they update it before it gets stale.

I hope not. I like how the game is still at a casual level. Synchro, xyz, pendulum, etc., will make the game way too competitive and take the casual play out of it. Keep this game for old shook players, and release more competitive games for hand-held consoles (like the 3ds or vita for example). Or make a second yugioh game on ios and make that the competitive yugiog game for mobile.

Id be happy with limited synchro being added next year as long as the game retains it's anime feel. 5d's had a really good sub. I think they should stop with synchros though. Cater to the old school players on this. The paper game already caters to the more competitive scene.

Yep. synchro is fine, The real problem is xyz, they're too easy to summon and most of xyz monsters has broken effect

Yeah, they'll add ever single summoning method in this game. They'll have to introduce the Extra Monster Zone first, however. I also don't see how Pendulums are going to work with just 3 S/T zones.

On the one hand a new summon Will make the game less stale , but on the other hand i think that synchro summon will make this game too fast

The game is already fast with Rez and ca, synchros won’t make much difference game speed

For the love of God I hope they don’t add synchro! I’d rather them just skip it and do XYZ. Synchro ruined the game for me back in the day when it first came out and XYZ brought me back. Fingers crossed.
