It's not weak at all. He still has Time Wizard to annoys your strategy but the weakness in his deck is no trap. He plays too offensive look at Graceful dice, shield & sword, legendary sword. Even his best monster has original 2400 ATK that can only reach to 3000 coz Graceful dice but it's all about luck
I wish they'd redo the early LDs' Decks. Some of them are just unacceptably bad now. (Kaiba, Joey, Mako, Rex and Odion for example.) The Level 30 GX LD's have better decks than each of the characters I mentioned. (Heck, I'd say Bastion's Level 20 deck is better than most of those.)
We don't have any LD's that are practically ungrindable yet, there's no reason to think that would happen with a revamp of the older LD's. There is no excuse for a Level 40 Legendary Duelist to use a card like Battle Steer or Masaki the Legendary Swordsman.
