Every year you can somehow collect 50k gems(due events/ga etc.)
Now within this year, they release 6 boxes. 3 Main and 3 Mini(2 month between each).
Now you can buy nearly 2 main ones or 1 main 2 mini full out.
The rest of the time you have to hope, the decks you compose are still competive enough.
Don't forget, that structure decks can only be 1x gem, the
other copies have to be bought with money.
So while I agree, that they are 'generous' with gems, you NEED them and way more just to have something decent in such game to not be blatant P2W.
no. at june last year, crimson kingdom (9th pack) were released. today there are 23 box + 6 structure decks, which mean 14 packs + 6 str decks in a year (excluding selection box)
What you mean with 'no'? I just give an example, not the accurate situation for boxes released within a year to show, that the gems we get are way to low to just call it straight generous.
People that said this game is very P2W usually are those greedy F2P players that want 3 copies of all UR cards in the game. I'd suggest to go play a console game for them.
When you mean locking over 60% of the content of boxes away is 'generous', then yes the game is very generous. And some content is for money only.
And when the game don't give you a lot of gems, PvP will only be the garden of whales soon.
Getting top rank(kog) isn't that expensive earlier it was purely f2p with sylvan, fur hire,koaki.. now a little more expensive but samurai did the job and budget investment like ancient gears also competitive. Right now there's no low budget kog worthy deck available i think.. maybe darklords or something from new box like metaphysics or something became top tier
It does, and the balance isn't too far off really. I think the right level of gems given out should equal enough to get 1 copy of each card in a box (not more) when they are released. To get more copies you should either need to pay or skip a previous box to save gems. Right now I think there is just slightly too few gems given or boxes released slightly too often for this to be the case.
Because the game has global reach, and not all players come from Countries with currencies with appreciation close to that of DOLLAR. What makes the game is on average 3 to 8 times more expensive in this Countries. Therefore, gems are more fundamental to some than to others.
The amount of dick-suckers here who genuinely defend this extremely profit oriented game is just hilarious. I didn't expect any less from a community which sells their wedding rings to buy a meta deck
remind me of my first KoG just 2 months after getting into the game. Purely lucky, didn't know Sylvan was a 🔥 when decided to choose the box though. If people just wise with gems spending, they should reach KoG without paying a dim. Even deck like Masked Hero (just like Six Sams for todays meta) could be completed in under 3 months gems-saving.
If you really need a modern-day F2P deck, go Flower Cardian. You can have full playsets of ALL Flower Cardian cards without a single box reset. All that deck requires is Grit and know-how.
