Why doesn't dragons mirror work with five headed dragon?

I added dragons mirror to my deck to fusion summon five headed dragon but it doesn't work when the the cards are in my hand or hand and field or hand, graveyard and field. It's a fusion card meant for dragons.

The fusion material must be on the field or in the graveyard. You cannot use material in your hand
