The RNG for this can be weird for this game sometimes. During the Epic Yami event the last card I got a drop from him was a Normal rarity Mushroom Man, even before picking up his Ultra Rare drop.
Just keep dueling.

How could you struggle with getting a R card from a Legendary Duelist?
Just keep farming (or simply dueling) and you will get 3 copies of it soon
