Can anyone explain to me how Lord of D. Actually works?

I thought Lord of D. Was a good card for a dragon deck cuz it prevents dragons from being target of effects while on field.

But I keep getting them targeted and destroyed by effects of cards like mirror wall.

Lord of D." will NOT stop "Dark Hole", "Mirror Force", "Raigeki", "Fissure", "Smashing Ground", "Hammer Shot", or "Amazoness Archers", nor will he protect your Dragon-Type monsters from their effects, since these cards affect the whole field and do not select targets

Wow, this makes Lord of D. Pretty much useless... When I played with my friends back when I was a kid we would say mirror force (for instance) targets all monsters and thus BEWD wouldn't be affected if Lord of D. Was in the field.

LOrd of D. would be great card if ONLY the Flute of summoning dragon can pull out BEWD from your deck, not your hand (though I wish they would edit the card)

It costs 3 card to summon a BEWD, while the protection of "not being targeted by card effect" are not really worth it. The current meta has a variety of card that does not target: Mirror wall, Windstorm of Etaqua, Yomi ship, Metamorh

And keeping a 1200atk of the field just doesn't make sense, because when your opp take it out, your BEWD will be welcome by OTC, Econ, Sphere kuriboh, Ryoku...

That's why I'm switching to Kaibaman + BEWD + Champion vigilance now, much better. Not to mention the possibility of dead hand when you keep 2 Lord + 2 Flutes, and your BEWD still can be killed though, cuz you have no backrow card left
