Xyz only better because you don't need a tuner. It doesn't matter if a synchro monster is turned face down since synchro don't need to detach any material to activate it effect

You also can Canadia the monster your opponent just summoned, before he/she gets any chance to Xyz Summon.

This. I think the "limited 3" thing will exist for the sole reason of hitting the broken traps so that Xyz is more usable.

After all, Xyz is one of the most liked mechanic in Yugioh, second only to Link.
