Oh my God what the hell is this 🔥. For no cost at all, destroy all your opponent’s monsters? Even if you have 0 monsters, even if not all your opponent’s monsters are face-down, not a single disadvantage? I used to think Fur cards were broken, but this piece of crap takes it to a whole new level. Why the hell did they decide to release this? My God.
To counter Fur Hire and for anti-swarming, of course. Those have been dominating the meta after all. But even then, this card might not save them, because you'd have to survive a turn before you even get a chance to play this card. With this card, it just means you're better off not filling up your monster zone if you can't land an OTK that turn.
There's no need to punish any swarm decks other than Furs... and not even swarm, this will just severely punish whoever simply plays YGO how it should be: summon monsters and protect them with backrow. The typical anti-WoD measures all fail against this as the lowlives using it can just activate it from their hand. Christ so broken.
There aren't really many swarm decks other than Fur Hire and Amazoness out there anyway. So not sure why that's relevant. (And really, a card that punishes swarm is a good thing, this doesn't even do so unfairly, being a Normal Spell you can play around.)
Just because Legend rank, one part of one mode of the game's 4 typical pvp modes, is only full of Amazon and Fur, doesn't mean there aren't other swarm decks being played. Flash of the 🔥 punishes not just swarms, but anybody who simply summons 1 monster per turn. It's too easy and broken to come back from your monsters being all overpowered and destroyed to destroying everything in 1 instant
To be fair, all you have to do is to not have 3 monsters, and this card rots in your opponent's hand. This card is too situational for what it's worth, whereas Wall of D punishes you for even having 2 monsters (-1600 ATK). Anyone can walk around this.
I'm not sure. So many decks fill the board so fast. I swear those "Lightrod Engine" spergdecks summon like 8 monsters per turn. After all this time I still think this card is very dangerous.
