Dkayd is ofc a professional duelist but not a god. By viewing his videos you can see that he often missplays or that he only knows the popular cards. Despite that, he works really hard for his site, he is smart and helps other players become better. He is famous because he is great on what he does as a youtuber and presenter.
To continue, keep in mind that dl links hazs tons of players who had successes in yugioh but are not famous at all. However, they are still good players. Personally, when I was young and active I had qualified in European TCG Championship twice. Who knows me? None. Staying popoular needs a lot of effort and this guy has invested in that and he is great at it. Just I hate when he becomes too ironic
All regular KOG players are skilled enough to do well in big tournament like KC Cup. What decides the winner isn't skill anymore, but serious grinding, concentration, and of course luck. Well, you need luck to win, but you need more than luck to be a popular person.
Well, anyone could always build THEIR OWN youtube channel and show the world how good you are. Not by winning in KC ( we all know how KC is and TBH its boring to watch. The point system in stage 2 also made majority of player doesn't even care about it). Its about how you present the content to the audience.
You forgot mod accounts, alt skill, and money to escape penalty from devs.
