Well, no one would even try to change your mind, because he IS the protagonist of the movie.
The movie's two plots are clearly centered around him and Aigami, instead of Yugi Mutou. Yugi Mutou is only there because he's the original main character.
Heck, the movie was originally going to feature Kaiba only, without Yugi Mutou.
