Eyearmor | Decks and Tips

Yami Yugi would make this card O.P. I wonder what other cards he'd use
Anoymous
Yeah, if only Konami released a "Eyearmor navigation" that works like magician navigation: special summon 2 monsters + negate a spell/trap by banishing itself from the grave.
That you be a support card befitting this monster card.
Why does only the top decks receive support cards when they already have so much

All that's missing is a massive spike in it's attack.

Probably because most are used by a lot of players or favorable. It's always Dark Magician/Spellcasters, Heros "Neos," and Dragons. I feel they're the ones that have the most support and before i forget, Zombies

Maybe only popular decks like those attract customers who are ready to pay with cash ?

If that is the case Konami is doing a really bad job at managing their game correctly.

no, if that's the case then it's logical.

Why would people pay for decks that are less popular because they're bad in current meta?

Anoymous
Those decks are bad in the current meta because they never received the proper spell and trap to make them better. Like a magician navigation equivalent in the above example.

Eyearmor is not popular because Konami didn't try to make to make it popular, simply.

I wonder why they even introduced this card if they wanted it to be worthless since the very beginning.

I wasn't talking about Eyearmor being popular. He asked me why is it that only top decks recieve soo much support. His example of eyearmor navigation is a reaponse to my comment about how Yami Yugi would make this card op.

Konami has always been bad at managing games, especially their YGO games. This been going on for years

Oh, this explains why people who never played Yu-Gi-Oh aren't too motivated in getting into this game.

shame on Konami

I mentioned that the most populular/used decks were Dragons, Magicians/spellcaster, Dragons, now Red Eyes, Neos. That's why they recieve the most support. You go into pvp, what do you see the most?

Not all cards are meant to become top tier OP decks.

There is such thing as complex strategy, for more advanced players.

Some other cards are simple and generic, meant to be for beginners. Eyearmor is a card that was fine for beginners back when the game is first introduced in the 90s.

Dragons, Magicians/spellcaster, Dragons, now Red Eyes, Neos don't receive support because they are popular.
It's the opposite.
They are popular because they receive support.
From the day the first Dark magician and red eyes cards were made, Konami already decided to make them as popular as possible.

I think the "simple and generic, meant to be for beginners" cards are beatstick Luster dragon instead of Eyearmor.

Beginner decks are more about level 4 beatstick monsters, and 1 tribute beatstick monsters.
Winning with Eyearmor is "NOT simple and generic". Even against other begginer decks it will need spell/trap supports.

You missed the part where the anon said "in the 90s".

Luster Dragon is not a 90s card.

Back in the 90s, most monsters don't even have higher than 1000 ATK, and 1500 ATK monsters usually are Level 5 or higher.

Dragons, Spellcasters, and Warriors are popular because they tend to look cool. Especially Dragons. Kids absolutely love Dragons.

And because people like them, Konami give them more supports so that people buy them and Konami gets money.

That's also the reason why protagonist cards tends to be either a Dragon or a Warrior.

Yeah but Worm archetype is nothing that I would call popular.
People who I show worm pictures to don't like them. This archetype still receives a lot more support than Eyearmor however.

If no one really like cards like Eyearmor Konami should entirely remove all those unpopular cards from all minibox/boxes in Duel Links and only sell cards that are actually used.

Worm didn't receive a lot of support, it just happens to be a big archetype. It has always been intended to have 27 members since the start, since its members consist of the letter A to Z (plus Zero as the fusion).

I agree with the other guy.

Cards like Eyearmor were made to be a dead card upon birth. This way whenever you buy packs, for each 10 cards you get there are 4 usable and 6 dead cards like Eyearmor, then Konami tells you I did give you your 10 cards, so I did nothing wrong.

This is a very 🔥 way to make a game in a time when we are teaching children nothing and no one is born useless.

wait, just remembered, it's 26, Zero is the letter Z
