judging by the real life power creep konami is doing this isn't much of a cheat. many old fan made yugioh card are severely out creeped by supposedly "balanced cards" that konami officially released.
Not like it's a weird thing, Yugi had his Destiny Draw, Jaden created his deck (And who knows were the Evil Heroes came from), Yusei had a well designed Extra Deck, and a lot of extremely situational cards, as well as the power to create cards going faster and also he had things given to him by a literal god, Yuya created his own summon method, Yusaku took cards from air and Yuga created a game.
Yusei is really the strangest case here. It is known that Satellite don't get much cards, and yet he already has a ton of Synchros and their respective Tuners even before he regained Stardust.
