It has few good cards, but overall the Ritual decks are rarely good. Personaly i like Gishki and Chemicritters so for me it worth it, because i also got BoMs and other few cards like red eyes fusion. You can play this game for fun and still reach kog so i don't understand why many people worry about how meta was X - Y box. Winning tournamets is another separate story.
it's just book of moon carrying the box it'd be garbage if it wasn't in there. but but some decks are kog worthy yeah guess what f2p cyber angel or cyber dark with 1 desperado can too. gishki, red eyes and sylvan were kog worthy already
I understand that, thats why i said everyone needs to separate Meta tournament winning decks from Fun, but KoG worthy decks. Lets be honest here, majority won't ever win a tournament or reach Top X. I usually buy boxes because i like the archetypes in it, but i understand this is my personal view. There are people who wants meta decks i guess, but i think they are missing out the fun of the game.
Fun deck is no longer fun when it gets very low winrate. There is a reason why certain box like Land of Titans is considered total garbage by many people. Book of Moon single handedly saved this box from being as bad as Land of Titans.
Well ofc not every single archetype is viable true, and ofc not every box are good. I just sayin you can have fun with non meta decks while reaching kog. This is a game first, so i don't care about meta decks if i don't enjoy the playstyle. I know not everyone shares my opinion, but i know lot of guys personaly who are only care about winrate and they have zero fun, and bashing the game constantly
It's bad not worth the gems tho you'd probably end up coming back to it for BoM and they know it. I think you can only build igknights from scratch with this box
The amount of Sylvans and Nekroz reprints alone already reduce the expected "fun" from a brand new box. Nice Gemini support but new player has no access to multiple copies of Dioxogre. Prediction Princess is interesting but its consistency is frustrating. The rest of the box other than Book of Moon are simply not good enough.
Im not arguing about how good are the box. Simply just sayin if you like the archetypes in it then its "worth" it, if not then skipp. Ofc me too skipped multiple boxes back then. Feels like lot of people only focusing on super meta tournament winning cards, but in reality they never even reach that while many of the rogue decks are capable of KoG.
Prediction princess is at its peak (not that it's the next meta deck or anything) when it uses that krawler UR from a mainbox so you only get a shafted version using this box only (I won't mention c cyclone since it's a staple that people should be getting anyways)
Yeah, Tarotrei + Deus X Krawler combo is strong. But turn 1 Senju/Fall Wind without ritual spell in hand is frustrating or without Cosmic Cyclone go trigger the skill is frustrating. I prefer efficient deck like turn 1 Harpies, Magnet, Water Xyz or Thunder Dragon, simply because I am not content creator or spoiled rich kids who can stay in front of monitor playing Ranked Duel 6 hours a day.
