Yep, those card say the the monsters are special summoned (instead of fusion summoned). You always have to be careful with the wording in Yu-Gi-Oh!

Basically, use these methods of Fusion Summoning.

Fusion w/ Polymerization

Fusion w/ Contact Fusion

Fusion w/ Legendary Dragon spells

(Does Future Fusion count? I forget.)

Contact Fusion and Legendary Dragons don't work. The card needs to say that a monster gets FUSION summoned.

Yeah, it counts.

Because when I use Timaeus to summon Dark Cavalry, he says Fusion Summon.

Not all Legendary Dragons.

Timaeus says Fusion Summon, and the fusion monsters have written material and can be fusion summoned normally with Polymerization, however, Hermos and Critias don't, those two using Special Summon instead.

The Hermos and Critias fusion monsters also don't have any written material, and simply says that they must be Special Summoned with Hermos/Critias' effect.
