As noted by several comments below, since the last update, Kaiba now applies Twister+ECon combo to destroy your DimGate and switch your Laby into attack position. Here is a deck that performs extremely well with this new AI (for the moment 100% winrate tested on 10 duels). The deck includes 9 cards with drawing effects, to offer both speed and consistency. Some hints to use the deck: * Early steps: as usual, do not set Laby until you got DimGate in hand. Then try to set ASAP either a second DimGate or a Curse of Royal, to counter a possible Twister+Econ combo. Thanks to the large amount of drawing cards, this should be obtained quickly. After the first Twister, set another DimGate/Curse as Kaiba will play another Twister later

* Mid steps: once you've got your 3 DimGate/Curse cards, you may relax and use your turns to attack Kaiba's heavy monster with you Crystal/Skelengel/Mimic to reach 1000LP or less. When performing some maths, you may even reach 100LP to get the super bonus assessment.

* Final step: this is a funny one ! First special summon Darkflare Dragon by banishing a Skelengel/Cat pair. Then play WingBeat to destroy Kaiba's backrow and bring your Laby back. Apply Sword/Shield to strength your Laby and weaken Kaiba strong monsters. Then special summon Darkflare again with another Skelengel/Cat pair, and finish with the usual Vassal/Union combo.

Note that Secret Path is not needed in the deck, because Sword/Shield will always bring the ATK of at least one monster below 1500ATK, so the 10k damage bonus is guaranteed thanks to the 11500 final ATK of your Vassal. The picture below shows that even in the worst case with only high level monsters on the field, the 10k damage is obtained.

As presented in the picture below, you can reach an easy 8000 Duel Assessment as soon as you have 2 glossy cards in your deck. When you don't have these glossy cards, you may still get 8000 DA by trying to finish the duel with only 100LP.

Last comment: Magical Mallet may be used in the first turns if your starting hand is really bad. But you may replace Mallet with your own idea....

One final thought: I've been using Darkflare for weeks in my farming decks, thanks to its nice synergy with drawing cards (Skelengel / Mimic / OmenCat). But I only realized very recently the huge power obtained when adding WingBeat to this archetype. Note that this idea may be easily adapted to other Vassal farming decks, even if they are not based on the Lab Builder skill. So, happy dueling guys!

My changes. Magical Deflector negates twister and econ. Dark Mimic LV1 against D.D. Warrior attack(happens).

but with Sword/Shield vassal cant hit directly, can it? what if I use secret passage instead of Sword/Shield, will it crumble the synergy? thx in advance :)

Very clever deck. The Darkfkare/Winbeat combo is a new hit. Gamea should update their Kaiba farming page with this one

@NewbieHere: Sword/Shield has a double effect, first it offers 3000ATK to your LabyWall, second it reduces strength of Kaiba monsters below 1500ATK. If you replace Sword/Shield with Secret Passage, your Wall will keep 0 ATK so you are ruined. Secret Passage is not needed because your 11500ATK Vassal always get 10k damage against Kaiba's weakened monsters.
So farm Joey to drop Sword & Shield.

Indeed, Magical Deflector is a great idea as it offers an additional chance against early Twister, similar to Curse of Royal. So a switch between Mallet and Deflector sounds great.

About your second proposal, I don't understand the benefit of Mimic LV1. Its effect is not triggered when destroyed by battle. Could you explain your idea?

You may use Storm but then you need to add a Field Spell in your deck to have enough cards to destroy Kaiba's whole backrow. So the deck would be less consistent.

heyo,
i got a problem with d.d.warrior how do i handle him? i protect the wall with dg, but he will just attack directly and finish me turn 3...

same here, i gotta use up my DGs and take direct attacks from d.d.warrior and am defenseless once he comes up with the econs...
all his monsters attack while wall is banned, is that new? 🔥ed up 🔥...

since he doesnt care about ur banished wall he will directly attack with all his monsters, so yo got to have ur wall up on the field. If he now summons d.d. u have to ban wall with DG and either take the direct 1200dmg or if youre lucky u got another monster he will attack and waste 1 of the d.d.
BUT u have to use the DG to dodge d.d. and therefore he will have 2 econ combos and 2 d.d. to get rid

of your wall while u have 3 DGs at best!!
so this deck does not work in most cases except if you can counter 1 econ combo with curse and block both d.d. with DG+another monster, which rarely happens
got 3/10 wins using this, sadly :/
