From what I see, people consider very strong or broken cards as good and well made cards.
If tomorrow Konami releases a vanilla normal tuner monster, level 1 with 3500 atk and def as a UR everyone will say: thank you Konami for using your most competent employees to make a 3500atk level 1 vanilla?
When a not hard to create broken card(draw 1 card, destroy/banish 1 or more cards without targeting or easy to summon big stats monster) is released people on the net say: WHAT A VERY GOOD CARD!
If a level 1 vanilla 3500atk/def monster does come out no one will complain. Everyone will just go WHAT A VERY WELL MADE CARD!
I agree with him. 3500 stats on a level 1 normal monster is no worry compared to the already dominating Levianeer. I consistently pop 4 cards with 2 Levianeers before turn 9-10.
That vanilla would be a 3500 beatstick without protection. I would call it SR at best and wouldn't even put it in my deck if it isn't Light/Dark attribute for Levianeer.
Cost 1 normal summon, no effect, etc..
Children here clearly don't understand irony.
4th guy is saying Levianeer is already so good that this vanilla wouldn't be UR worthy compared ONLY to it.
"When a not hard to create broken card is released people on the net say: WHAT A VERY GOOD CARD".
Sorry to disappoint you but I'm one of those whales. TCG need such powercreep to justify purchases.
Don't like it? Maybe you simply don't like TCG.
I was using 3500 lvl1 vanilla monster as an example and the answers received thus far proved my point. If something like that was ever to be released in DL or TCG everyone will just say: what a very well made card!
Then buy and play 3 copies of it.
As long as a newly released broken card makes buyers/owners win no one see a problem?
"A lot of pros would look at that vanilla and say that it looks like something a kid new to yugioh would make in card maker."
They may say that.
But I'm pretty sure they will still go buy & play 3 copies of these in their decks if they ever have to participate in a tournament with prize money on the line.
I mean, will anyone refuse to use this card in a tournament because of honor/dignity?
But according to previous posts it will be too weak to be ban worthy.
This kind of surprises me.
Why would anyone spend cash on 1 card that is weaker than a 1 turn summon 3500 atk if it's going to be steamrolled by the average power creep that much?
