There aren't many Dark Signers. The only ones we're missing are Misty, Roman & Rex, Devack.

5D was amazing man. But... the only problem I see with YGO it's the fact it gets more cartoony and light hearted each time (after 5D) but Vrains was awesome.

Doesn´t 90% of the cast of ZEXAL dies during the Barian invasion arc? Wouldn´t precisely call it light hearted.

And the whole interdimensional war carding people left and right in ARC-V is unsettling as well.

Yes, in Zexal by the final boss duel (final, not extra) literally only 4 people in the main casts are left alive, and 1 is only alive because she's a cheerleader a.k.a. she avoids danger because she's never in one to begin with

The other 3 are the main character, his spirit partner, and the Barian rival.
