Shiranui is back in KC Cup. I have faced a few of them.

Because of how most players are F2P, a lot of decks will never die. People will rather run a nerfed Shiranui than pay to play meta Blue-Eyes.

Some people really believe that BE is the meta now but it is just overrated. Inconsistency is the biggest issue for BE, you don't call it a meta deck if it can't win a tournament.

The meta is what is used, not what is the best. Since BE is used very frequently, it is meta.

META stands for "Most Effective Tactic Available", so just being used alone doesn't automatically means it's meta.

However, it's true that decks that gets a lot of use, usually tends to be meta decks.
