Self damaging decks

I have noticed that some people are running self damaging decks. Does anyone know the purpose behind this?

With the 2 drops (due to event) per lose, its faster to lose 3 times for 6 drops than win 1 time for 3-4 drops :) Skill farming and xp farming.

some skills work when your lp below some points. Example: No mortal can resist psychic deck or destiny calling deck has cosmic cyclone etc.

You mean like ones that play "Destruction of Destiny" and lose quickly through self-damage? IDK where it originated, but I'm certain it's a "meme". I noticed a lot of them in casual duels and one time in KOG. It's dumb. I think that they think that it's supposed to be amusing, but it's not. Maybe someone else has better information.
