Just did data transfer to my new device and now i cant play the game please help

Data transfer but it doesnt show character or background instead a white rectangle where character photo is supposed to be and a black background please help

I had that too. Go to settings and download the high res data.

I wonder if people are trying to transfer from the splash screen or from within the options.

If you want load your data, I believe you do that from the splash screen. To save your data, you do it from the options menu.

Hit the redownload data option on the opening screen. Had the same issue when I transferred to a new phone, that fixed it.
