Why wasn't I able to activate trap jammer!?

I set the trap card on my second turn and he activated mirror wall when I attacked. I wasn't given the option to activate it !!!!!

Remember this, u need to skip your 1 turn to active your face down card. (Except by Temple of the King's effect)
