How do I use trap cards 8 & 10 times respectively in one duel to unlock Lumis and Umbra & Odion?

I made a deck with mostly trap cards and counted how many times I used them before I ended the duel yet neither character was unlocked. What am I doing wrong? Help please!

Use trap monsters, and a bunch of defense or attack increase normal trap cards. Simple.

If you use the same trap several times, it doesn't count. You have to use 8 or 10 different cards.

But I think you don't have to use them in the same duel.

You should just duel and level 10 characters. Shouldn't be hard.
