What De-Fusion!?

All Fusion Materials need to be in your GY and be able to be special summoned by De-Fusion. Once a Fusion Material leaves the GY to another location (hand, deck, extra deck), it's not considered anymore a Fusion material used for that Fusion Summon, even if it's sent to your GY again. This way, you can't special summon the Fusion Materials from BEUD with De-Fusion because BEUD has 3 Fusion Materials, and you had only 2 of 3 Fusion Material used for its Fusion Summon in your GY.

Target 1 Fusion Monster on the field; return that target to the Extra Deck, then, if all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon all of them.

In other words, your KotS is most likely no longer marked as "material used for fusion" or was in your hand when using de-fusion.
