"Balance" skill with 3 Cerbereus cards

Is it guaranteed to have one Cerberus in your starting hand when you have 3 Cerberus' in your deck? Sometimes when I goes first and didn't get a Cerberus in the first 4 cards, I ended up not getting the Cerberus on my fifth draw. Is this a glitch?

You need 5 types of a card to get balance to work.

It is not guaranteed. If you want to use Balance Cerberus, add 2 copies The Unhappy Girl in the deck. It is more reliable than Sorcery Conduit Cerberus and the likes, and easier to adjust your life points for LP on the Brink assessment as the enemy is very unlikely to attack you.

no it's not guaranteed. balanced will guarantee a monster/spell/trap if you only have 5 in a deck, you're guaranteed to get 1 of the 5. Say you only have 5 monsters, then first turn you will get 1 monster, if 5 spells then first turn you will get 1 spell.
