[4,6] Synchro monsters actually seem viable now since the original game (outside Duel Links) seems overwhelming for the more basic and underplayed synchros.
This is what makes me belive 5ds will come this year:
1. A number of synchro monster already datamined
2. Konami try to explain 5ds and synchro for new players via 5ds stream
3. Konami try to expand this game. If you realize, usually we only get 15-25mb update every week, but these two weeks we get 60-75mb
I don't think they will give you 2 clues for 1 event, Yubel silhouette already indicate Yubel is coming soon, adding location where the event took place is very unreasonable
the problem with adding another summon method into duel links is that the whole point of duel links was going back to basics instead of having 9 different summoning methods. the current tcg/ocg link format makes synchros a lot less viable in tcg/ocg and adding them to a game like duel links would make them seem fresh and viable without making them too op. this is the problem, konami needs to keep
making the game seem fresh, but that goes against the very concept of duel links and would make it become a slower version of tcg/ocg as they introduced xyz and links eventually. by putting synchros into the game they would essentially 🔥 it by automatically putting it on the same path as the tcg/ocg but much smaller
