Just like the actual tcg/ocg. Blue eyes had way more support and even won a world championship. Dark magician wasn’t even close to being a rogue tier with all their support.
So u want an ex structure top tier dark magician?? U know what'll happen next? Yes worse than sylvan/fur meta cause all the decks in ladder will be dark magician cause everyone wants to be competitive with dark magician and no one will ever buy other decks they'll keep that that deck forever mostly f2ps so if dark magician structure comes in a top tier deck they'll need to nerf it to dead in month
the reason is simple.
Blue eyes has 3000 atk. Dark magician has 2500.
It's realy just that whith makes blue eyes better then dark magician.
For a lvl 4 to get up to 2500 attack is doable. And for a lvl 5-6 it's even easier. Many even have more then that.
But getting over 3000 atk is actually much harder to do. Hardly any lvl 4 monster can be powered by one or two card to just run over 3000 atk.
So basicly, getting over a 3000 atk normal monster requires a good bit more resources from the opponent, then it takes them to get over a 2500 atk normal monster. No matter how easy they are to summon or how many cards synergize with them.
