I am suprised that in the comment section are only a few angry posts about how op is this deck. On the other hand there are tons of cry babies in bewd, thunder dragon, shiranui, harpie, cydra threads. Why this? Imo, because everyone can make this deck in 1 day with 20$ and easily hit kog and as it seems everyone is happy with this status quo. Well, I am not. This deck is becoming really 🔥 in ladder, when 80% are onomats. Hope they treat them well in next banlist.
Seeing as though there are mediocre Onomat monsters and that Utopia xyzs are decent at best in DL as of now, I doubt Konami would go for that idea (at least until they release the good Utopia monsters).
Personally, I think nerfing the skill to once per duel is a better idea atm.
I do think it is easier now defeating Onomat, because Exa-Bettle. I have found myself on numerous occasions where I could've lose if opponent was just summoned Ptolemy/Bounzer, but they picked Exa-Bettle/Rhinosebus instead
Rhinosebus is easier to avoid, even if you are an F2P. Because we still got 3 opt of effects to deal with it (monster/spell/trap), not like when facing Bounzer.
The only time I lose against Rhinosebus was the first time I met one; didn't read that it pierces defence lol
Konami bans cards when many people start using a deck or cards. Sometimes, they ban cards before a deck becomes too powerful like what happened to Lunalights before Tenki came in the pack.
So ban cards that has nothing to do with the archetype overall, punishing those who actually like to play Digi Bugs. Just ban some cards within the archetype or their skill not those tech cards which are part of weaker archetypes. I hated it when i played lightsworn deck and it got nerfed because of witchcrafters.
Thats what happens when Konami release badly made cards. Those cards should had a restriction. XYZ specific monsters should needed a certain archetype monster and not just a monster. For example Photon Bouncer should needed 2 lvl6 photon or galaxy monsters, malevolent sin 2 insect monsters etc etc thus limiting the use of these cards to certain decks.
No, it's actually always the players' fault. Not Konami's.
They aren't a charity. That's why Konami is forced by players to release generic broken cards.
If people like you bought every cards, they wouldn't be forced to power creep all the time.
Oooohh, you mean Konami isn't at fault for making a creating a broken card like Levianeer? This card is being abused by thunder dragons because Konami made it broken. How can broken Levianeer be players fault?
But, if those said cards are clearly being abused or creates unbalance play between players, and Konami didn't do anything to fix that, then that is a fault they are doing.
It should be creators job to make balance for all, not just sitting on piles of money while watching their players at each others throat.
