For an amazoness deck Anti magic arrows is not a good answer to sea stealth attack. Without spells/traps the average amazoness monster will be rundown by beefy monsters like Abyss soldier, A Warrior of Atlantis, and a 2550 attack whale.

What about the Amazoness Sage? In one duel, I was able to get rid of The Legendary Ocean with her, and then they couldn't do anything after that and I managed to win. I have three of her, but is it still more luck-based since her attack has to happen first?

Sage could work if protect her with a card like Forbidden Dress or Impenetrable Attack.For her effect to activate she has to stay on the field then you're golden.

I got Impenetrable Attack, Amazoness Heirloom, a couple of Econs, Willpower, and some other random protection cards in my deck.

Except that they can just banish a monster to protect their S/Ts if Umi and SSA are already up.

It's a bad matchup. If they draw the combo (Umi, SSA, Level 5) you've pretty much lost.

Luckily SSA isn't that common anymore and will probably become less so if spellbooks become popular.

SSA is no longer common because decks like Sylvan and Spellbooks are just so much better.
