I took it as one card sample from the deck that would give you some idea of what this player’s deck is about. So far I can tell this is correct in only one duel though because I play kind of a yolo deck here so most duel ended before I could figure if the opponent is really playing that pick up card or not.
At first I thought it was their "Ace" monster, possibly their rarest one. But it might just be that duelist's most used card. That explains why a few times it wasn't the strongest or rarest card in their deck. You can look at their deck after the match, just like in PvP.
Did you skip my comment? It's not necessarily their strongest card. For example, a few pick up cards that I saw were "Bestiari". Do you really think Bestiari is the strongest card in a Glad Beast deck? No, obviously not.
its kind of confusing but for me thus far it has been the highest level monster of my opponent if he had more monsters with different names but same level it was the one with higher attack
I have seen a few people on reddit mention they knew the person they were playing and the card changed each time. Its a gd mystery at this point with no one having any solid evidence of what this pick up crap is about...all speculation.
As far as I can tell, a "pick up card" is the card picked from the top of their deck (not a card you pick up if you win, which is horribly not explained). Iam uncertain, but I believe it is the card at the top left of their deck menu when they create the deck, which is why it is usually (but not always) the monster in their deck with the highest attack.
