I dont have any problem with outdated cards, old archetypes can be competitive enough in the right hands. Sometimes people talks as if they would need the last cards in order to win, that's a bit lame
Straight ATK doesn't mean much. You could get bigger than a Reactor Dragon right now for 2 cards pretty easily. Great Maju Garzett + Vice Dragon/Tricky/Etc., Strong Wind Dragon + Vice Dragon, etc. There's a reason people don't bother.
