So I'm using this card against Arkana to block him from using his Dark Renewal on my final pirhanna summon (vs. lvl40), or using his Spell Shield when I try de-spell or Twister against his Ectoplasmer (vs. lvl30).
And I noticed a super interesting glitch -- Sometimes when playing this card, it actually shows me what his face down cards are !
It seems to only happen when I've already seen him play a card that he has multiple copies of. For example see this screenshot, I used a de-spell on his Anti-Magic Arrows, then several turns later use Xing to lock down 2/3 of his remaining face-down cards, and it SHOWS me that he put another Anti-Magic Arrows down, making it easy for me to just pick his other two cards. trolololol.
Also as a followup, I wonder if this card's effect lasts only while it remains on the field, or if it lingers after it is destroyed?
Because I had a match against Arkana that this got destroyed after using it, and he ended up never playing those cards I had locked down already. Technically the card does NOT say the effect is removed if the trap itself is removed from the field ....
An... interesting combo glitch, very likely because you already revealed one Anti-Magic & No. Unless it says so like some newer cards do, Xing's lockdown only last as long as it is on the field.
Also just realized I can use Forced Ceasefire instead. Xing can be limiting bc need to pick 2 facedown cards. Ceasefire would simply block all cards, however many are facedown.
I found myself sometimes having to place and block my own card with Xing, if Arkana only had 1 facedown card :P
That's not a bad thing...Anon seemingly talking in place of Andrew, especially if you only have 1 Ceasefire(possible last card dilemma) or no cards you can sac for the Discard. I always have 2; 1st catches whatever 2 cards it can immediately, 2nd locks the 3rd while relocking another. Oh yeah, you can overlap the locks.
If they only have one facedown by the end, then that means you have extra card(s) in your hand.
Dish out your combo.
Set one of your throw away cards for Xing to lockdown.
