Yep, Deskbots can give Six Sams a bit of hassle, especially against non-reading six sam players. Six Sams can negate all they like, except monster effects. Which is pretty much what Deskbots are all about.

Barely need any backrow in most cases.

Both Hazy Flame and Deskbot are all about monster effects instead of backrow, so yeah, Shi En synchro has trouble with them. Especially since Shi En usually cannot overpower them in battle either.

If you're running any successful deck this season, you have some counter/tech to have a better chance against six sam. If you have to play to counter a deck or lose, its tier 0.
