Kidmodo is not sent by the effect of a card ... Skill are not effect... IMO it's the reason why you could not summon Hunter.

I presume the effect doesn't activate for the same reason Gandora's 🔥 effect doesn't activate: It doesn't count. Any effect which activates upon being sent to the GY won't work, just like any effect which is based off of the card being summoned.

Except Kimodo's effect say "If this card is sent to the Graveyard:" -- doesn't specify how, or why.

Agreed, the wording is inconsistent with the effect. I'd call this a glitch.
Especially considering there's already a difference between monsters that specify a certain means of being sent to the grave and those that don't.

Wouldn't be the first time the wording of skills wasn't accurate. For instance: Guardian Call wasn't a Draw Sense, but a free add-to-hand.
