Jap dub has Yubel speaking in both male and female voices (two different VAs).
Plus, just, look closer at Yubel's Monster Card form. His masculine side (left one) has his original hair and eye colors.

Its because the eng version treats Yubel as female only, so its easier to call it "her" since its what most people know it for.
They never confirmed Yubel's gender, but everything points towards it being male when human.
