Having new cards should be a positive thing. But it is just a bit too frequent. I think one main box OR one mini box a month would be a good rate, not both. I also get there needs to be a balance between F2P and people who pay to support the game. I kind of feel there should be enough gems given a month, to be able to go through a box once and get a copy of every card but not necessarily multiples but this is only really possible now on months where new duelists are released as well or when they raise levels which is too infrequent.
Yeah the only F2P deck that is competitive now is six samurai and they nerf it to allow F2P player to rise the rest is P2W deck and now konami prioritize the P2W players than the F2P
Any deck that isn't behind a direct paywall, like a full set of Neos-Fusion, can be F2P, but most people aren't patient enough to make and save all those gems just to drop them at the right time.
I know they are releasing boxes and structures way too fast and it is just not cost effective even for P2W players. I get that they don't want the metagame to be stale, but if they don't let people replenish their gems and wallet there will be a lot of people skipping boxes eventually. Konami needs to implement a crafting system because many cards gets outdated/limited or powercreeped.
With all the money they are making off the structure decks and boxes you would think that they would be just a little more generous with the gems now or start giving at least a couple meta relevant event rewards once in awhile.
And that's what they did with Survival Dinos- and then people b*tched how good and widespread they were because they were basically free to anyone who played the event.
How do you think that would make Konami think based on that?
There's nothing wrong with the rate we are getting new cards. It's to fit every player's like. You dont need EVERY single card at 3 copies to play, y'know?
